About Andy

Andy teaching yoga and meditation in Byron Bay, NSW.

I am passionate about helping people find a sense of comfort and ease as they navigate their way through the challenges of life.

I believe that one of the most important aspects in our growth and development as humans is to start to understand how our mind and our bodies work. This process of self discovery can be a lifelong journey but I believe the skills that we learn along will way will help us become more confident in our capabilities and more resilient as we take on the challenges of daily life.

I have been practicing as a physiotherapist for over fifteen years and have worked with a number of sporting teams and individuals all focused on returning to their peak fitness levels as quickly as possible after an injury. Seeing people return to their chosen activity feeling stronger and more confident in their bodies is what motivates me to continue to practice.

I am a strong believer in the role yoga can play in preventing and recovering from injuries. This passion lead me to complete over 1000hours of yoga teacher training courses and to start teaching classes that not only stretches and strengthens your body, but also increases your awareness of your bodies unique capabilities.

I am also acutely aware of how important the state of our mind is for our wellbeing. I have been practicing vedic meditation for the past 10 years and have found it to be one of the most powerful practices for calming both my mental and physical state on a daily basis. This experience motivated me do further meditation teacher training which has led me to teach an effortless meditation technique for people who are looking to reduce their stress or just help navigate their daily life with a little more ease.

Personally I love keeping fit and healthy. This passion is currently channeled into meditation, yoga, trail running and surfing.
